About Me

Certified Life & Health Coach
Helping clients achieve 360 success without burnout.

Dr. Róna Girvan is a dedicated doctor specialising in general practice, with specialist interest and training in lifestyle medicine.

 

As a yoga teacher and trained life and mindset coach, she integrates various holistic approaches, including NLP, Ayurvedic nutrition, reiki, and somatics, into her practice.

 

Known as “The Balance Doctor,” Róna believes in the power of homeostasis and balance for optimal health.

 

She embodies heart-centered living, understanding that we are human beings, not merely human doings.

​Committed to moving beyond fleeting trends, she focuses on uncovering the root causes of health and well being issues and works with clients to build unshakeable health, wellness and mindset foundations.

 

So that clients can feel balanced, energised and successful in every area!

My Qualification

I qualified as a doctor in 2014 and have been working both in NI and Australia as a doctor for many years. I gained experience in many different specialties in my post graduate training including medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, emergency medicine and psychiatry before specialising in general practice. I love the mix of general practice and the true connection opportunities we get with patients and their families.

 

This is what gives me my spark at work I love to connect, learn about others and help them thrive and excel in their health and personal life.And so this is what led me to complete my diploma in lifestyle medicine. In my own life I saw the incredible power of yoga, nature, a minimally processed diet and yet I didn’t have the evidence base to be officially recommending these things to patients.

 

In 2022 I dove deep into the research of the 6 pillars of lifestyle medicine; a minimally processed predominantly plant based diet, exercise, sleep, stress management, health relationships and avoidance of harmful substances. The evidence was overwhelming and I am delighted to empower both my patients and clients with these incredibly simple and obvious health foundations to ensure strong health practices for life.​

 

Following my partial molar pregnancy and miscarriage in 2022, I thought I know a lot about health and well-being but I could see that despite the knowledge I and others struggled to put it into practice and this is what led me to life coaching. Here I furthered my knowledge on mindset, psychology, behaviour patterns, emotional regulation, Neuro Linguistic Programming and learned how to truly embody all that I knew.

 

I began rewiring the brain patterns keeping me stuck and supporting clients to do the same!

 

Along the way I’ve also trained as a yoga teacher, reiki practioner, Ayurvedic nutritionist and I am working towards my somatic practioner certification.

Lifestyle as Medicine

This 75 minute session will explore the impact of lifestyle choices on overall health. Participants will learn practical strategies to integrate healthy habits into their daily lives easily and effectively, including; NUTRITION, EXERCISE, SLEEP, AND STRESS. 

 

It will include;

 

ROOTS OF WELLNESS

What are the true foundations of health and how we can use lifestyle to optimize our health, reduce risk of cancer and chronic disease and improve symptoms without tablets or surgery.

NOURISH TO FLOURISH

Ditch diets, the scales and calorie counting and learn to eat well for your body, mind and soul that will leave you feeling energized, full of vitality and glowing!

 

REST & RELAX

Sleep well and stress less. Evidence based sleep strategies that are simple and work minus the pills! Learn about stress, your early signs and triggers and give you simple effective on the spot exercises to employ to come back to balance.

Inclusion:

3 workbooks using coaching strategies to enhance self awareness, motivation, healthy behavior change and life satisfaction.
